Reef Sort: Ocean Puzzle
Privacy Notice

Who is responsible
Janne Mäki, Finland, is the data controller for Reef Sort and the support correspondence sent to BaneWorks. BaneWorks is an unregistered brand operated by Janne Mäki, not an incorporated company. For privacy questions, contact info@baneworks.fi. Only Janne Mäki has human access to this mailbox.
Which game information is covered
Reef Sort is positioned for a teen and adult audience aged 13 and older.
Reef Sort does not require a BaneWorks account. Game progress and settings are stored on your device. Local records can include puzzle results, lives, preferences, an age-band choice where that version asks for one, and advertising frequency or reward records. These local game records are separate from information processed by Google’s advertising services and from email you choose to send to support. BaneWorks does not receive game progress on a BaneWorks game server.
Resetting progress, clearing app storage or uninstalling the game affects local game information. It does not request deletion of information held by Google.
Advertising and privacy choices
Advertising is included in some Reef Sort versions. The currently distributed Alpha version 1.1.1 (code 12) is ad-enabled. A separate version 1.1.2 (code 13) fallback build is ad-free. Version 1.1.3 (code 14) uses Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Its configuration requests non-personalized ads, sets the maximum ad content rating to G, and disables publisher-provided ad personalization. These code 14 settings do not describe code 12. Advertising behavior and available controls can differ between versions.
The Google Play Data Safety disclosure for Reef Sort lists four Google Mobile Ads SDK-related data types as collected and shared, required and non-ephemeral: approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and device or other IDs. The SDK can use an IP address to estimate general location, and may process app or ad interactions, diagnostics, and device or other identifiers for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. The specific data handled can vary with SDK version, features and settings. Removing Android Advertising ID does not mean that every other identifier or SDK data flow is absent. Non-personalized advertising can still involve personal data processing.
In version 1.1.3 (code 14), ad requests are held when the age band is unknown or self-reported as under 18. A self-reported 18+ choice can proceed only after consent information and ad-eligibility checks allow it. This age-band answer does not verify a person’s age. These code 14 controls do not apply retroactively to earlier versions, including code 12.
Where Google requires a consent message, UMP presents the available choices. In code 14, Privacy Choices can be reopened from Settings when Google makes that option available. Changing or withdrawing a choice can affect ad eligibility. Declining ad personalization does not necessarily stop every form of SDK processing or mean that no ads are shown. Ad delivery and privacy controls are subject to the installed version and applicable regional requirements.
Support email
If you email support, BaneWorks receives your email address, any name you include, your message, attachments you choose to send and associated email information. You may include your device model, Android version, level and steps to reproduce a problem when useful. Do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Zoho Mail hosts info@baneworks.fi. Support information is used to answer your request and investigate the issue you describe. It is not used to create unrelated marketing profiles.
Support mailbox access is currently unavailable. Replies may be delayed while access is restored.
Retention and deletion
The support retention policy is 12 calendar months after a case is closed. A specific record may be kept longer only where a documented legal obligation requires it; the obligation and the records it covers are limited to what is necessary. At the end of the retention period, support messages and attachments are due for deletion from the mailbox and known copies under the controller’s control.
Deleting a message from an active mailbox folder does not necessarily immediately remove provider-held recovery, backup or archive copies. Those copies are subject to Zoho’s service terms and retention practices, and this notice does not promise immediate provider-side erasure. This support-email period does not apply to Google-held advertising information or local game data. Google’s information is subject to Google’s own retention and user controls.
Purposes and legal grounds
For support correspondence, the controller’s legitimate interest is to answer a request you initiate and troubleshoot the issue you report. The information is limited to what is useful for that purpose and is not used for unrelated marketing. Where a specific legal obligation requires retaining particular support records, the legal basis for that limited retention is compliance with that obligation.
For advertising-related processing, consent is used where required by applicable law, including for relevant ad personalization or device storage/access. UMP presents Google’s consent choices where required. Google may also process information for its own advertising and service purposes. Google’s published AdMob terms identify some AdMob services as controller services, with other listed features subject to processor terms; the roles depend on the service and applicable agreement. Your consent choice does not itself promise that every Google data record can be erased by BaneWorks.
Service providers and international processing
Google provides advertising and consent services. Google’s published terms describe the applicable roles and transfer terms for covered AdMob services, including contractual safeguards for restricted transfers where those terms apply. The terms depend on the service, features and agreement in effect. Google may process information outside Finland.
Zoho provides the mailbox used for support. Zoho says the hosting region depends on the Zoho domain used for the account. Zoho also describes support access and service-provider processing that can involve locations outside the European Union, with contractual safeguards described in its terms. The controller does not promise that all provider processing is limited to Finland.
Your choices and rights
You can contact info@baneworks.fi to ask about support information or request access, correction, erasure or restriction. Where applicable, you may object to processing, request portability, or withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Requests are assessed under the law that applies, including any specific legal obligation to retain information. BaneWorks cannot promise to directly erase all information held independently by Google. You may also complain to your competent data-protection authority, including Finland’s Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
